Gary Olson
Gary Olson's yoga journey began in childhood, watching and practicing alongside his mother. His early years were shaped by martial arts, earning black belts in Hapkido, Tae Kwando, and Chinese Kenpo Karate, while training with masters like Ed Parker and Bong Soo Hahn.
At just 13, he demonstrated remarkable control of his vital forces, amazing University of Washington researchers with his ability to control a polygraph.
After learning Transcendental Meditation as a teenager, he became a Sidha yogi at 21 and spent two decades deepening his practice through TM, the Yoga Sutras, and the Bhagavad Gita.
In 1998, he discovered Bikram yoga, which led him to develop his own unique system. Gary has since taught over 10,000 yoga classes, trained more than 200 teachers, and introduced Deva Meditation to over 300 students through his studios in Kirkland and Bellevue.

Claudia Alabiso
Claudia Alabiso's journey into yoga began in 2004 when she discovered Bikram yoga after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology and English Literature at Franklin and Marshall College.
A year later, she found her true calling in Gary Olson's power yoga. Stefanie Carr
Stefanie's yoga journey began in the early 2000s when she discovered Bikram yoga, which perfectly complemented her passion for long-distance running. The heated environment and disciplined 26-posture series enhanced her physical endurance and provided mental clarity during marathon training. The practice became essential for injury prevention and recovery, offering the same balance and euphoria as running.
In 2016, Stefanie achieved multiple certifications, becoming an RRCA running coach and completing Yoga for Athletes through Jas Yoga, while also fulfilling her dream of running the Boston Marathon. The following year, she became a certified Traditional Hot Yoga instructor and now teaches across the Pacific Northwest and Southern California.
Her classes create a compassionate space where students can push their limits, heal, and grow.

Jamie Laflin
As a former college softball player and Physical Education major at WSU, Jamie Laflin has always embraced an active lifestyle. Nearly a decade ago, she discovered yoga and quickly made it an essential part of her daily routine, practicing twice daily for the past four years. While working as a bank manager, Jamie found that hot yoga provided crucial stress relief and life balance, leading her to complete Ashram's teacher training.
Her strong, powerful teaching style reflects her personal passion for yoga. For Jamie, the most magical moment comes during savasana, when peace and tranquility wash over the room. Outside the studio, she enjoys hiking, traveling, boating, and spending time with loved ones.

Rayne Nahajski
Originally from Wrangell, Alaska, Rayne Nahajski moved to Seattle as a child and turned to yoga in 1999 following knee injuries from sports. When she discovered Gary Olson's hot yoga, she found a deeper connection to the mental aspects of the practice, transforming her approach to yoga.
Though Gary early on identified her as a "future teacher," Rayne's commitments as a lawyer and law firm owner initially prevented her from pursuing teaching. In 2009, she made the transition from law to yoga, while continuing to manage her firm with her husband.
Drawing from her personal experience with injuries, Rayne's teaching style combines motivation and compassion with detailed cuing for both physical postures and emotional management.
A certified instructor through Yoga Works, she remains passionate about helping people, whether in the courtroom or the yoga room

Julie Schulz
Julie's yoga journey began in 2000 with a playful bet with her trainer to take a Bikram class together. While she fell in love with Bikram instantly, she later discovered power yoga and found the combination unbeatable.
After moving to Eastern Washington where hot yoga was scarce, Julie answered a new studio's call for instructors and began her teaching journey. Now back in Seattle, she brings her "positive, present and powerful" style to every class, encouraging students to focus on breathing and being in the moment.
This philosophy aligns perfectly with her 27-year career as an elementary school teacher in the Lake Washington School District, where she's passionate about building confidence and self-belief in her students. "If students have confidence in themselves, it gives them freedom to explore, be creative, and celebrate their individualities." This applies equally to both yogis and fourth graders.

Jake Townsend
Jake Townsend took his first power yoga class at 13 years old, and though he would practice with Gary Olson from time to time with his mother, he wasn’t sold on yoga until years later. With multiple injuries from snowboarding and a rigorous weight-training schedule, Jake realized he needed to add a healing practice to his weekly routine.
Jake’s interest on human body, injury prevention, and yoga have also led him to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. -
Alison Thompson
Alison's yoga journey began 20 years ago in New York City, where she practiced alongside her sister and completed her first Bikram 60-day challenge. A dedicated member of the Ashram for nearly 18 years, she deepened her practice through Baron Baptiste's Teacher Training Level 1 boot camp in Hawaii. For over a decade, she has trained intensively with Gary Olson, and further enhanced her expertise with a Baptiste-style training intensive under master teacher Gregor Singleton.
As a testament to her commitment to fitness, Alison maintains a rigorous running schedule, running seven days a week, alongside her yoga practice. Her dedication to yoga remained unwavering even through pregnancy, practicing until the day she gave birth.
Today, she balances her passion for fitness with family life, sharing her home with her spouse and two children.
